The substance of a mind may never be measured by any tool with the exception of linear time. With this having been said, one can measure time and these devices are themselves timeless and priceless. And if this can be accomplished then it is a fact the same tools to measure time may also be so inclined to measure the substance of a mind – but only time in its linear state. Experience is the substance of a mind and time is needed for experience and to experience the experience.
The mind takes in and gives out through experience, which is but another mind’s expression based on its own experiences from yet another mind’s expression. Round and round we go with never an ending – only completions. Energy cannot be created or destroyed; only transformed. It is transformation, which is the effect of experience on the mind all from another mind’s expression based on its interpretation of experience. “It must be experienced to fully understand it.” Pretty tough to argue with this as each round of time encompassing an experience requires the act of measurement to qualify it as a round of time.
Viewing time as the substance of all minds brings us closer to the discovery of all things then and now. If all things come to us in time then all things are of the mind and in time, follow the expression of experience, which is the vehicle for the mind. Time holds all the answers and all the questions. Given time, all questions will be formed. Given time, all questions shall be answered. Time provides direction when lost and in time, you shall be found.
The hard part is the waiting and at the same time, it is the only part. Sometimes the only part is the most difficult part. Therefore, we wait and wait and wait, if for a minute or a day. The wait is necessary and it fills the void of experience responsible for the substance of all minds. There is no way we cannot wait.
We can wait for the wait, which is nothing but a slice of anticipation on the front end. Seem like a waste of time, waiting for the wait? Not really, because it is necessary. It is how you choose to wait for the wait, which will drive one insane or have another lick their chops on the front end of anticipation. Waiting for the wait is somewhat of a chore and to the amateur, exceeding the quantity and quality of stress he or she wishes to endure. But to the professional it is but a wisp of wonder in the game of life. It is a section of life, sliced oh so delicately for the patient. It is a savory treat, an appetizer if you will, taking up space before the main course arrives, complete with all the gravy and fixings.
The component ultimately providing freedom while waiting for the wait is of course patience. Without this quality or trait, character is flawed, and all decency of the moment lost. If one experiences a lack of patience and has comes to terms with this flaw, there is a process in which to counter this failing. Simply speed up time or one’s perception of time. Speed up time and you alter the substance of the mind. The best way to alter the substance of the mind is to recognize, acknowledge, accept, and apply the basics of time.
This is precisely what you have done, are doing, and will continue to do with your involvement in this current avenue of study.
